Questions about AI visibility
Answers to 15 questions about AI visibility, free checks, accuracy and next steps. Learn what a technical scan and a dated AI answer can each tell you.
[01]How do I check my brand’s visibility in ChatGPT?
Run a technical site check and separately record whether ChatGPT names or cites your business for a specific question. NeshatScan checks what a crawler can read. Its separate Citation Check requests a dated answer through an API; it does not reproduce your personal ChatGPT session or measure every answer a buyer might see.
[02]Is the AI visibility checker free?
The website scan is free; optional fixes and monitoring are paid. You can start with your website address. The full report opens with your email address, without buying anything. Follow-up emails are a separate choice. Paid options and their terms are listed on the pricing page.
[03]What does the free SEO audit tool actually check?
NeshatScan checks technical access, readable page content and discovery files. It inspects robots.txt rules, indexing directives, the HTTP response, page text without running JavaScript, title, description, canonical, language, structured data, sitemap and optional llms.txt. Findings include evidence. A blocked or unreadable check cannot establish that a problem is fixed, and a passing scan does not prove an AI mention.
[04]Does the checker ask ChatGPT or Gemini about my brand?
The technical scan and the separate Citation Check answer different questions. The scan inspects your website. Citation Check requests answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok through their APIs, once from the US, and records who was named and any sources returned. An unavailable answer is a coverage gap, not proof that your business was absent.
[05]How accurate is a single check?
A single check is a dated observation under its recorded conditions, not a complete measure of AI visibility. A host challenge can prevent a technical check from judging the site. AI answers can vary by prompt, time, location and collection method. Read the evidence and coverage gaps before comparing results.
[06]Why is my website not showing up in ChatGPT answers?
A missing mention in one answer does not identify its cause. Check whether the site can be reached and its content read, then review whether it clearly answers the buyer’s question. Keep observed technical findings separate from assumptions about why an assistant selected another business. Neither the scan nor a correction guarantees a mention.
[07]How do I improve my AI visibility?
Address verified technical barriers and publish clear, supported answers to the questions your buyers ask. Keep your business name, services and location consistent, and make factual claims traceable to evidence. Recheck after changes and record answer observations separately. This is work on access and useful content, not a promise of rankings or citations.
[08]How does a free check connect to the full platform?
Your report can lead to an eligible Fix Pack, done-for-you Fix or monitoring option. When there are findings to address, Fix Pack provides written corrections and verification re-scans; the done-for-you Fix provides implementation within its stated scope. A clean report can offer monitoring, not paid fixes. An HTTP error can still produce actionable findings; a report stopped by a host bot check offers none of these checkouts until that access barrier is resolved.
[09]How often should I re-check?
Recheck after relevant changes and compare results using recorded dates and conditions. The paid Monitoring option runs a weekly site scan and asks the same ten buyer questions through the configured assistant APIs. Failed or unanswered checks need to be treated as gaps, not improvements or losses. A weekly observation does not describe every answer during that week.
[10]How is this different from asking ChatGPT about my brand myself?
A site scan inspects your website; asking ChatGPT produces one answer influenced by the query and session. Neshat’s separate Citation Check records an API answer with its date and conditions. It is not the consumer app, a search ranking or a guarantee that another person receives the same answer. Both observations need their context to be useful.
[11]Does it work for non-English and international sites?
You can submit a non-English or international website address for checking; the result depends on access and the tool’s scope. Technical checks inspect the fetched site and its declared language, but that does not establish complete language, country or content-quality coverage. The English and Persian interfaces do not prove visibility in every market. Record the language and location when comparing actual AI answers.
[12]What is AI visibility?
AI visibility describes whether and how a business appears in AI-generated answers. Technical access is one part of the picture; being named or cited in an actual answer is a separate observation. Neshat shows findings and dated answer evidence rather than combining them into a single visibility score.
[13]What’s the difference between AI mentions and AI citations?
A mention names a business; a citation points to a source. An answer can name your business without linking to your site, or cite a page while discussing something else. Keep the wording, returned source links, question, date and collection conditions together instead of treating a mention and a citation as the same result.
[14]What is AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)?
AEO is work to make content accessible and useful to systems that answer questions. Clear factual answers, readable pages and consistent business information support that work. GEO refers to generative engine optimization, where those systems generate an answer. Neither label establishes a special ranking formula or guarantees that an engine will select your business.
[15]Why can manual AI searches and monitoring results differ?
Different prompts, sessions, dates, locations and collection methods can produce different answers. A consumer app and an API may use different models or search behavior, and an account may carry personal context. Compare observations only with their recorded conditions; a single difference does not establish an improvement, loss or indexing problem.
